Dorsey Schools
In 1934, Ruth Dorsey founded the Dorsey School to address the growing demand in business for highly skilled Victor and Burrough's comptometer operators. In its day, the comptometer was the most advanced technology for data tabulation and was widely used into the 1960's.
Today, Dorsey Schools remain committed to preparing individuals for promising career opportunities, technologies, and certifications for the medical, business, legal, and computer fields.
Dorsey Schools serve the Detroit metropolitan area with four convenient suburban locations; Madison Heights, Roseville, Southgate, and Wayne-Westland.
Dorsey is proudly represented by tens of thousands of successful graduates working in their chosen careers throughout southeastern Michigan.
